Mama and Me......Botanical Gardens

This morning we headed to Botanical Gardens to take some pictures. It was such a pretty day and I wanted to get some pictures of me fat and pregnant :) It's funny when you look in the mirror and don't really see yourself looking huge until you take a picture and see the "real" you :) I have gained completely different with this pregnancy than with Luke! Oh well what can you do huh? :) I only have a little over 8 weeks to go so I say I am doing pretty good as of now! Anyway, Luke was ALL over the place so it made it hard to get pictures. These pictures are so much sharper, so I am not sure what is going on with my blog. Brian took these pictures and I thought they turned out great! I wanted to get a couple of him with me and I thought they turned out sweet. I am going to print one out and put it in Sam's room. Hope you enjoy all the pictures! It's too hard to just put a couple up here :)
Happy Saturday! :)

9 weeks......

And this little man is going to be a big brother....9 weeks! Isn't that crazy?! I mean and that is just if I go to 40 weeks! What if im 2 or 3 weeks early! Sheesh! I haven't really thought much about the fact that I will have 2 kids to take care of here soon. It doesn't freak me out, which I guess is a good thing. I think Luke is going to be a great big brother. I think what I look forward to the most is seeing Luke walk in my hospital room, climbing on the bed with me to meet his little brother for the first time. I think it will be the most amazing memory and I can't wait. I can't wait to hold my 2 little boys in my arms. It is going to be so special :) Luke and Sam....brothers and best friends.

Heeey didard.....

Luke spotted a "didard" this past weekend :) he was mesmerized by it! It cracks us up him repeating everything we tell him to say! He is learning so fast and talks all the time! He walked up to the lizard and Brian said Luke that is a lizard, can you say lizard? And Luke said "heey didard" :) so cute! :)

Luke's Big Boy Room!!!

It's done, It's done! We finished his room this past Saturday! Isn't it so cute! I am very proud of it and it was so much fun to do! The only thing missing from these pictures is the cute rug that I ended up buying with my yard sale money! I thought it needed just a little something to tie it all together! I bought this rug in a 3x5 from Pottery Barn kids and it looks perfect! The best part of this room is Luke LOVES it!!!! It might be the sweetest thing ever walking in his room and he is just sitting on the floor reading. It melts me every time! He had no problem taking naps or sleeping! It was an easy transition and I am so glad! He also loves dogs, so if you see in the corner there we have a real size dalmation dog that looks so real! His name is Sparky :) The chest of drawers we had repainted was Brian's growing up! We had it painted to somewhat match the crib espresso color. We just bought new hardware and wala it's done! Last week we went to the fire station where my dad worked my whole life and took pictures of Luke on the fire trucks. He cracks me up that he will actually where the hat they give you! The frames are from Target. The white table and chairs in the room were mine growing up!! I spent numerous hours at this table and it was my favorite thing in my room! I bought a little caddy at Home Goods last week and repainted it red and put construction paper and crayons in there for him to color at the table :) The picture above his bed is from Dots of Faith. They don't have a website but always go to the Christmas Village and Easter Village thing at the BJCC every year. I came up with this idea only bc my mom had bought the fire truck bumper pad and sheet almost 9 years ago from PB Kids when my nephew Frank was born, so she wasn't using it anymore. His anywhere chair, lamp, book case, and curtains are all from Pottery Barn Kids. I don't usually buy just everything there, but in order for the colors to match it was the best thing. Plus Luke is going to have this room for a very long time. So what was Luke up to this whole time while we were at home working? See below :)

Chief (my dad) came and picked Luke up for a couple of hours and they went and did boy things :) My dad called me and said Luke might have gotten a little wet. My response, I don't care he is a boy, then my dad says, Ok he might have gotten A LOT wet, he sat in the creek :) He came home wet from head and to toe and it was hilarious. You could tell Luke had a blast in the creek throwing rocks and just being a boy! This picture makes me laugh that he is just plopped in the wa-wa :)

Next weekend's project, Sambo's room! :)

Harris Family Beach Trip :)

We had a great time at the beach this past weekend! Luke was so much fun and just loved playing in the sand! He didn't like the water too much and would freak out when the wave came to close him! I think it was really the waves that scared him? Who knows! We walked back and forth into Seaside several times a day just to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Brian was a champ all weekend and pretty much dad of the universe! He chased Luke and played with Luke all weekend! I even got to go on the beach by myself and lay there and listen to music! It was glorious! Even though Luke makes me SO tired, I actually miss him when he is napping b/c he is so much fun. Sunday it was beautiful again and we actually didn't even go on the beach! Well we did try to attempt pictures on the beach Sunday morning but it was a little chilly so we had to come in. We ended up walking into Seaside and having lunch and then playing in the big green grassy field in the center of the town. It was so much fun to watch Brian and Luke play with each other. Luke was worn out from running around so much! I was too and I know Brian was! :) We had a great time and I can't wait to go back in a few weeks with just Brian!

Beach Tease :)

We had the absolute BEST time at the beach this weekend! The weather was incredible and it was just a nice relaxing family trip! Brian took so many pictures so I will put up lots more this week, but here is a cute one for now! Luke loved the sand! Right when we first went down to the beach he started saying wa-wa and Brian and I looked at each other and said, ok so didn't know he knew that :) It was cute. Oh that is code for water for all or any none baby readers out there! Check back in soon and we will have more pictures! Good night for now! This mama is tired! :)
