Memorial Day Weekend....

We had a great long weekend especially having Brian home for 3 days straight! We cleaned, organized, and got ready for Sam! Memorial Day was perfect and we did exactly what we had planned! To stay at the pool, eat lunch, take naps, then BBQ with my family! It was such a fun time! We ate some awesome food that Frank, Amanda, and my mom made. I will be going down the street here later for seconds! Luke loves him some corn and watermelon! I think that is all he ate for dinner! Hope you had all had a great holiday! :)

We are officially ready!

Well today we finished getting ready for Sam! The nursery is a lot like Luke's, but switched up just a little bit! We added the 3 pictures to the top of the bookcase, he has a brand new crib, and then the initials on the wall! I managed to get all of Luke's clothes washed and organized and put away for Sam to use! It was fun getting outfits out and remembering when Luke wore them. It was a lot of work, but I will say I am so happy I am having another boy! It really has made life easier just preparing! We are talking about Baby Sam a lot to Luke b/c it is about to come really real here soon! I am due in 2 weeks, but they are hopefully inducing me a week early! Yay! I get freaked out and think my water is going to break any second! I don't want that to happen to me! :) but who said I was in control right? :) Anyway, we are very ready and getting so excited. Brian has done an exceptional job this weekend and getting the house organized and just ready! It has been awesome! Makes me look pretty bad, but at this point don't really care b/c it looks great! :) Stay tuned! He will be here soon! Happy Memorial Day!

gotta eat your greens!

Lately we are trying something new with Luke and dinnertime. We figured it was really past the time that we should all be eating the same thing at the dinner table instead of eating 2 meals! So last week Luke ate at the table with us and it was actually fun :) Just a little family eating together! Anyway, Luke LOVES him some broccali! He is picky but he is not. The boy could eat yogurt and any type of fruit all day long which is good. He is not too picky about vegetables either! So I am excited about summertime vegetables and letting Luke try all kinds of stuff!

Getting ready for Sam.....

his sweet monogram above the bed

I feel like I have not written anything about Sam. We are officially at the end pretty much and I am so ready. I am 36 weeks tomorrow which is crazy to me! I am already dilated just a tiny bit which is already different from Luke. I have so much to do, no energy to do it, and pretty much lack of motivation to do it :) I still have to go through Luke's baby clothes and pull out what Sam can hopefully wear, wash them, and organize them. The boy's closets are a disaster and it's driving me crazy. I have to find a double BOB to buy, but have to sell my single BOB first (it's for sale if you want it msg me :) ), and the list goes on. I want some cute pajamas for the hospital this time and I don't know why, but I do! They are so hard to find unless I want to spend $100 on them, and we all know that is not going to happen! I have hit a wall I feel like as of last week and I am exhausted. Who is tired of reading about me complaining yet? :) I am tired of it. I have had it really easy this go round and I am so thankful for that! Luke has made this pregnancy busy for me so I have not really thought about it! It is hitting me though that Luke is not going to be my only baby here in just a few short weeks and it is making me sad (yep, tearing up as I write this). He is going to be the BEST big brother ever b/c he is so sweet and loves babies. I will say I am even more excited b/c my parents have sold their house and are temporarily moving to an apt about 20 secs from me and I am so excited! They might not be as much as I am, but they can cope :) I think it is going to help out so much when Sam comes. Brian, on the other hand, is about the most perfect husband out there, and dad for that matter! He is so stinken patient, so helpful, and is just the best and I love him even more for it every day! I don't know what I would do without him, so Brian thank you babe, I can't thank you enough! The only thing I care about is that this baby is happy and healthy, and that is all that matters. I am thankful for so much right now!!! Please pray for us as we are about to enter a family of 4 :)

Now that summer is basically here we are trying to stay cooler in this hot heat already! I am kind of glad I will be in a little hole this summer with the baby and not fighting this hot humid weather! It literally makes me mad being outside and being so dadgum hot! Anyways are neighborhood pool opened this week and we have been almost everyday! It is awesome and Luke loves the water. It's just getting hard for me to be doing active things with Luke right now! He wants to only get in the big pool so it's hard. We are having fun though and now just awaiting the arrival of "MAS" :) Who got that??? This is what Luke calls the baby :) Have a good night!

We had a great time at the beach for Mother's Day weekend!! The weather was INCREDIBLE! The water was SO CLEAR it look like the Caribbean! We stayed out on the beach a lot during the day and just played and relaxed! Luke played very hard and is obsessed with the water and sand! We brought a baby pool for the boys to sit in and play and they loved it! It was a great last weekend for us since we won't be traveling for a couple of months since Sam will be here soon! Hope you all had a great Mother's Day! I know I am very thankful to be Luke's mom, and about to be Sam's here in a few weeks! :)

Our Weekend Getaway....

Brian and I just got back from an awesome time at the beach, just the two of us! We went to celebrate our 4 year anniversary and to get some alone time before we are a family of four! The weather was absolutely incredible!! We slept in, laid out on the beach for a long time (I got fried which I never do!), and ate some great food! We went to this new restaurant called V in Seagrove. We got to sit outside and look at the ocean while I enjoyed a nice cold one of Coca-Cola :) It was such a great time just being together and focusing on just us. Sure we missed Luke, but he was having a grand ole time back home with Brian's mom! I didn't think he would want me when we got home, but it was the sweetest thing when I did get home b/c he just hugged my neck! It was the best feeling ever! I can't wait to hug my other little man in just a few short weeks! I love my boys! We really did have a great relaxing time! Thank you Penny so much for keeping Luker for us! :)

Luke hosted a little Easter party with his buddies in the neighborhood! We had a lot of fun and it was so cute watching the kids actually "hunt" the eggs! Luke had never done this before, but he picked up on it very fast! When everybody got here we decorated little bunny cakes that I had baked, and when we were done the Mama's ate the cake :) After decorating we headed outside and did the Easter egg hunt! We tried to get a picture of all the kiddos, but again it's hard to round up that many little ones! We had a lot of fun though! Next year is going to be even more crazy! :)

Happy Easter!

I know I am so late posting these! Been a little busy around here! We had a great Easter! Here are some of the pictures Brian took. Getting 6 grandkids together WAY past everyone's nap times was pretty much impossible, but you still have to get the picture right? :) We had a great time especially since Brian and Mary were in town! It's so much fun when we are all together. Hopefully one day Brian and Mary will move back here from Memphis! (hint hint :) Anyway, hope everyone had a blessed Easter! More pictures and post to come that are late as well :)
