One Happy Baby....

To say I have a happy, sweet child is understatement...yes I think every parent probably thinks their child is perfect, but Luke is not perfect, nobody is, but he is sweet and he really is a good baby! He crawls to me everyday and gives me hugs and just laughs and smiles. He cracks us up so much! When when night night he waves, and of course when you are leaving he waves too. The boy loves him some bananas and now says "nana" and we love it. What am I going to do when he actually talks! He is so close to walking, but just has no interest to take a step on his own. He is so darn fast crawling it amazes me! He has these little calluses on his knees! I mean don't his knees hurt! :) Luke still loves the bath tub and every night we say Luke are you ready to get in the bath and he starts pulling at his clothes then crawls to the bathtub. I am finally just getting him on 2 naps a day. He was and will still take 3 naps a day, but he is a cat napper so they aren't long. I know some of you are thinking I would love that, but honestly I would rather him take a 2 or 3 hour nap once a day then 3 little 30 to 45 minute naps! Sometimes they can get long, but not really. It actually finally hit me the other day that Luke wasn't going to be my only baby here soon. Now that we are approaching the new year it is getting more real to me that I am pregnant. I started to tear up b/c I love Luke so much that I have no clue what to expect with this second baby. I am so excited and a little anxious about it. Luke is just getting so crazy fun I can hardly stand it, and in just a few months it won't be just us everyday playing! I am so incredibly thankful again that I am able to stay home with him everyday and especially now. We have fun playing and I cherish every minute of that! Luke is going to be a great big brother and I can't wait to see him with his little brother or sister! We find out in about 3 weeks what the baby is and I can't wait! I swear I think it's a girl, but who knows! We do have names that we are pretty set on, but I won't write on the blog just in case it changes :) it's not a secret, so you can ask me :)
These pictures we took last weekend. Brian got a new lens for his camera so we have been able to test it out a lot! I had not gotten nice pictures of Luke for like his one year pictures, so this is what im calling his one year pics! We love them!
Anyway, Luke is still taking 4 bottles a day of milk and eating 3 meals a day. He loves turkey, apple jelly sandwiches, fruit, spaghetti, and pancakes! Loves his sippy cup and drinks all day! Hoping to start blogging more and more in the new year! :) Hope you all have a great week!

White Christmas!!!

Luke looking into his stocking to see what was inside :)
This is Brian's new hat that Luke is obsessed with!
just got back from our Christmas walk!
so much snow! (well for us at least :)
our little family Christmas walk! Luke loved being outside!

White Christmas 2010! We have never had a white Christmas in our entire lives so this was so fun! I have always wanted to have snow on Christmas day! It is just fitting! We had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to a great Church service at our Church, then headed over to my parents house with my brothers and their families to eat dinner and open presents. It's always a special time for me and I know my parents b/c my brother Brian and Mary are home from Memphis. We miss them so much and it's fun to all be together and watch all the cousins play together. It was a fun and wild time! Christmas morning we woke up, went into Luke's room and sat down and read the Christmas story out of Luke's little Bible we gave him. Brian and I want to start a tradition that before we go in and open presents we are going to pile into bed with each other and read the true meaning of what Christmas is all about. After we read the story we turned on music and all sat in the floor and open stockings and presents. It was so fun this year since Luke can now open presents! He gets it now and next year is going to be even more fun! He pulled his little stuff out of the stocking and loved it. We then let him open his presents. I didn't put presents out this year from Santa so he could tear open stuff, but next year will be so different and I can't wait! After we opened presents I made us some Belgium waffles and we all sat around the table and ate. Luke went back and took a nap, and so did Mama while dad read his new cookbook :) Lunch we headed down to my brothers house which was so awesome driving a half mile down the street! That is what I call a great Christmas commute! :) We had a nice lunch there and then came back home afterwards and took a nice Christmas walk in the snow! We rested again afterwards and watched Brian's new movie Despicable Me (it's funny if you are wanting to know!) That night we headed back to my parents house for my entire dad's side of the family Christmas. There were like 40 of us there so it's always a big time. There is nothing better than a huge family! It's a lot of fun to me. Sunday we got up and ready to head to ATL for Christmas with his sister and mom only to get 30 minutes away from home and turn around! It was so icy on all the bridges and it was very scary. I was pretty much worried the entire time we were out and so glad we turned around. I think we saw about 20 wrecks. Anyway, Sunday we rested and hung out! It was a great Christmas. Now I am ready to clean up decorations and get ready for the new year ahead ahead of us :)

Hope you all had a great Christmas!

Weekend in Abbeville.....

This past weekend we went to Abbeville. If you have seen the redneck Bama Belles show on TLC we were just minutes away from the awesome scenes where that is shot. It is 20 minutes from Dothan :) Anyway, this is where Brian and his dad go hunting. We stay at his grandparents house. I love it there b/c there is absolutely nothing to do except eat and sleep and that is just what I needed this weekend!! I have been exhausted with this pregnancy and I know it's from chasing Luke around so much. He had a ball too and so did Brian's grandparents! It is neat that Luke is getting to know some of his great grandparents b/c I only knew one of mine and she talked in Italian, so basically I didn't know her :) We had fun though despite the fact that Luke came down with a terrible cold right before we got there! One night he didn't sleep the entire night and slept the whole time with us which has NEVER happened, but he was really not feeling well. It was fun and relaxing and great that I can go with Brian down there so he can spend time with Luke. My mom bought this cute camo shirt for Luke before he was born thinking he would wear it when he was 3 :) well I was wrong! He can now where it and it's really cute. It says Daddys future hunting buddy :) Luke crawled in the yard a lot and just got dirty being a boy. Sue Mama taught him to say Ho Ho Ho with this Santa she had. Luke just says Ho Ho though and it's so stinken cute! Anyway, we tried to do a photoshoot but wasn't happening, but here is one cute picture of him in his smocked deer outfit! :) That is all for now! I can't believe Christmas is next week! Where did this year go! :)

(I had more pictures, but this darn computer won't upload them! argh)

My now one year old....

I feel like I haven't written anything on what Luke has been up to lately and all the things he does now! To start off we went to the doctor yesterday and he is doing great! Almost 24 lbs, over 30 inches long, and perfect! He got 4 shots yesterday and they were the worse. I had to hold him down and it killed me!
So last week the night before Luke turned one we turned his carseat around! He LOVES IT!!! I think he just likes seeing me. He is so funny and just dances with his legs now that he can move them! It is so nice to be able to reach back there and give him his sippy cup!
We officially went off of formula about 3 weeks ago! The boy took whole milk straight like a champ! He is only getting 3 to 4 bottles now everyday which is very nice now not having to pack a bottle to go places. He is great at drinking out of his sippy cup. I guess we will be losing the bottles here soon! That will be weird :)
He TALKS CONSTANTLY! It is hilarious! I have to call Brian at work just so he can hear him b/c it is so funny! He has Da da down and is starting to say mama, but it's more like mummummummuma, which is great with me b/c I know what he is saying! :) He has been clingy to me lately which is sweet and annoying at the same time :) We love when dada comes home so I get a little break from holding him.
Luke takes a bath every night and absolutely loves it! I need to get him some fun bath toys. Maybe Santa can bring him some! Oh how I have longed to be Santa to my kids!!! Ok well Brian, but still!!!!! We read him a book every night b/c he loves them and tries to say it which it is so cute.
Luke is ALL BOY!!! Loving his trucks and goes crazy when we see one driving! I love it! He pushes his cars all around and it's just the cutest thing ever.
He is not walking on his own, but he got a new toy for his birthday and walks all over the house behind it!!! So funny b/c he can't steer it so when he walks and runs into the wall he looks up at me to straighten him out then keeps walking! I feel like it won't be too much longer before I have a walker on my hands!
He is into EVERYTHING! His new thing now is standing up and knocking the lamp over and frames on the end table....so annoying. Of course the toilet is wonderful to him as well :)
Luke is now to the monkey see, monkey do part which is so funny to us how he mimics the things we do. Let's see what else is this little monkey doing...hmmm...he still takes 3 naps a day sometimes 2. He is just not a long napper and when you wake up at 6 it makes for a long day! For mama too! He sleeps great at night usually 12 hours, sometimes sitting up in his crib and falling asleep sitting up!
When I yell touchdown Auburn! or WARRRR EAGLE! He throws his hands up everytime! He claps all the time, waves bye bye all the time when you are leaving.
His Noah's ark is one of his favorites simply b/c he loves putting anything that will fit in the windows! When we can't find his paci or brush or something we go straight to the ark b/c it is usually in there! We lose his brush all the time b/c Luke is obsessed with it. He likes to brush his hair too!
He knows what nose is, and I will say where is Mama's nose and he will touch my nose! So smart!

I think this is it for now! Luke is so crazy fun right now and keeps me busy for sure!!! :) Be back with Thanksgiving pictures! Hope you all have a great Holiday!!! :)

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures! I took SO MANY but this is a glimpse into our day! It was perfect and it all turned out exactly how I had imagined! We had fun building the ark and putting it together. I think the kids liked it b/c Luke loved it which is all that mattered! :) We had so many friends and family over here and it was perfect! The weather was awesome which was great since I invited more people than my house could hold :) It worked out great though! Luke demolished his cake! He was obsessed with it! We really did have such a great time and I was so pleased with it all. I have the best husband who went a long with every detail, no questions asked :) He knew I was crazy the day he married me so no shock there :) Brian also made a video of 200 something pictures that we played to music on the tv! It was great and so much fun to watch. We love this little guy so much!! Don't know what we would do without him! He keeps us busy and we wouldn't trade it for anything :) Happy 1st birthday Luke!
