Luke goes to the pool!

feeling the pool for the first time!

Luke's friends Bobby and Harper!

pooped from playing too hard in the pool

Last week our neighborhood pool opened! Of course the pool is still a little bit chilly but hey it was fun going! I took Luke down there to meet some friends. He loved the pool! I put him in gradually and by the time he was all the way in he was jumping up and down! I guess he thought he was in his jumperoo :) Can't wait to go back though!

Cousins!

Luke is thinking right here, "for the love...these girls are nuts."

Anna Frances thought something was really funny
Izzie reading to Luke

So we hang out with my nieces a lot because they live down the street!! I love it more than anything! Isabella and Frank just love on Luke and it is so sweet to me! AF and Luke are going to be best buddies one day! We take pictures of them every time we are together! They are so cute together! I have a lot more of these pictures, but thought I would just share a few for now. Enjoy!

um, pretty sure fat boy has outgrown his swing! what do you think? :)

We have just been hanging out this week, nothing big! This child is doing something different everyday! He is now starting to sit up on his own a lot better! He talks constantly, and is becoming a little person more and more each day! He motorboats with his lips constantly and this is Brian's favorite thing he does right now! We also call him Thumper because he kicks one leg or both so hard all the time! I will get it on video soon! He is a big boy now and is sitting in his stroller without the carseat! He still gets mad sometimes, but he will get over it :) We have been walking a lot! Trying so hard to lose the rest of the baby weight! I am officially done with breastfeeding so Luke is now all on formula! We use Enfamil if anybody feels the need to pick up a can or two or three :) j/k. Anyway, more posts to come soon of Luke and his crazy girl cousins, and his first time in the pool! Stay tuned!

Luke's First Beach Trip!

Got my shovel and bucket! Let's go to the beach!

first time to feel the ocean water! Brrr...a little chilly

hanging on the porch with dad

Mmmmm....this sand is good and salty

Sun wore me out...think I will take a nap

Well we just got back from our first beach trip with Luke! We had the BEST time! I was nervous about the road trip on Friday b/c Luke was being real fussy. About a 45 minutes into the trip he starts screaming and we are like ok this is going to be our first and last beach trip. A few minutes later I gave him some Peaches and he was back to happy Luke baby.
Saturday morning we got up and it had been raining and was very overcast. We decided to go on a walk all around Seaside and just enjoy the morning. Of course we were like the only people out this early b/c we had been up since 7. We got back and decided to go down to the beach and let Luke have his first beach experience. I brought our baby bjorn thing to strap him on one of us and it was the best! I will tell all my friends to bring this if you have to walk to the beach a few yards! It was so nice and we had our hands free to bring whatever else we needed. We didn't bring a lot down there. It's not like Luke needs a bunch of toys so it was fine. We get down to the beach and it is SOOO incredibly windy that we could hardly put anything down. We set up the sun dome that I registered for specifically b/c we go to the beach all the time....well it popped out of the little bag and Brian tried to put it down and it broke...GREAT. I was so upset b/c I had just used this at the pool and it was wonferful to have! Brian is going to try and fix it, but now I need to go buy something more sturdy for when we go back. We got a few pictures of Luke. We just put him in the water to feel it, but didn't let him in the sand until today. The first beach experience lasted 10 minutes and we came back up! It was too windy. Later that day we went down to Rosemary to the wine bar and hung out with our friends. Brian made us an awesome dinner Saturday night and we watched a movie.
Sunday we got up and went down to the beach! We finally put Luke in the sand to see what he would do and he really liked it! Of course he is like any baby and started to eat it :) I did let him put his hand in his mouth so he could taste the sand! I mean he was dying to put his hands in his mouth so I let him :) Anyway, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back soon!

"The Best 3 Years"

Yes, I am aware how handsome my husband is! This is my favorite picture of Brian!

and now, 3 years later we have a beautiful baby boy...

Today, Brian and I have been married 3 years! Gosh time really does fly by! This has been the best 3 years of my life only because I am married to my best friend. Brian is the most incredible, thoughtful, kind, loving husband, and now the most incredible dad. I never knew our marriage would become even more stronger and loving after we had Luke. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Brian and pray that we have many many more years of marital bliss together! We are off to celebrate at Flemings Tonight and I can't wait! Happy Wednesday!

5 months!!

Luke is 5 months old today! Man time is flying by and he is going to be a year old before I know it! He is growing so fast and doing something different everyday! Just the past few days he is starting to sit up on his own a little more and getting stronger with his muscles. He is 18+ lbs and growing like a weed! He is starting to lose his hair on the sides and that is upsetting me! :) Hopefully it will grow back soon. His blond streak is still there and I hope it stays b/c I love it! He spent the night with my parents this past Saturday night and did really well! My parents were making fun of me b/c I had lots of instructions! Luke comes with a lot of details! :) Every baby does! :) We are going to leave him for a whole weekend in May with my parents, so go ahead and start praying for me, not Luke :) We are going to be busy and doing a ton in May! I am in the process of stopping the whole pumping thing. I am tired of Dolly and Pam hanging around if you know what I mean. Summer is always a busy time for us! We are headed to the beach this weekend and I can hardly stand it!!!! I love the beach more than anything in this world!! Can't wait to get cute pictures of Luke in the sand for the first time! Not much else going on with us! We are loving the pretty weather and getting excited about the neighborhood pool opening soon!
Be back soon! Enjoy! :)

"In Jesus name, Amen." Night Night....
How many rolls can you find? :)
laying on his tummy like a big boy
Fat Boy in a Crab shirt

These are just fun pictures! We were at the park yesterday for play group and I put Luke in the swing and he fell asleep again! ha! It doesn't surprise me since he slept in his swing for a while when he was born. It soothes him I guess! I need to buy one of those swings you can hang from your back porch! That way if he falls asleep in there I can maybe take a nap! ha! j/k...I won't do that people.
The crab outfit was I guess now for picture purposes! I saw this outfit at Target in the dollar bin section and it was 50% off so it was a $1.25. I thought hey why not, it's kind of cute! So they only had a 6 to 9 months so I figured it would be too small and it is, but it is cute! His little butt says crabby pants and I thought it was cute! I am trying to figure out who Luke looks like in the picture on his tummy. I feel like it shows him real well and I can't tell! I think he is a good mix, but leaning towards looking like Brian? Hmmm....who cares, he is cute either way! :)
I love this baby so much! I literally do want to squeeze him so tight! Just can't get enough of him! He is going to spend the night away from us tomorrow night for the first time! He is going to Chief and Frannie's house (my parents, who else?!). So we shall see how that goes! Brian and I have a wedding to go to in May in Mobile so I am thinking about leaving him all weekend with my parents so I need to have a little trial run tomorrow night :) I will let you know how it goes!

Be back Monday for Luke's 5 month post! Gosh he is getting big! :) Have a great weekend!

My jumperoooooooooooo.....

Luke is loving his jumperoo! He is getting so much more active and crazy in there! He reaches for stuff now and is finding all the fun things I have hanging from there! I think it is helping him as well strengthening his legs and head. He doesn't wear his cap around the house by the way :) He is just so darn cute in it so I put it on him for a second :)

I like to eat eat apples and bananas......

"Yea, I am good."
"not sure about this stuff mom."
BANANAS!

Remember that song? I like to eat, I like to eat, I like to eat eat apples and bananas, etc. I use to love that song....anyway, so we have started big boy on food. I didn't really think about giving it to him or thought I wasn't suppose to until 6 months, but he likes it! We started out with bananas and he does like those! We have tried applesauce and he doesn't care for these, but I think Luke will eat anything :) We are now on peaches and he is getting use to them. I have to call my sister in law Amanda and ask her all these baby questions about food and stuff! I feel like she is an expert since she has had 3 kids! Anyway, Luke is eating 5, 6 oz bottles a day and then I am giving him food at lunch and dinner. He is adjusting! He is a big boy and I love all the fat rolls! Had a guy ask me today if he was 6 months old! ha! He is not far behind though! :)

Hey Batter Batter!!!!

can't take my eyes off the ballgame!
Frank on first
someone must have been disturbing Luke as he watched the ballgame? Who is he staring at?
My Uncle Mark, Aunt Jan, and Alex and Mallie with Luke!
Frannie, AF, Chief, and Luke

"Hey Man, What's up?"

So far we have had a fun and busy weekend! Friday night we stayed in and did our favorite thing...eating a $4.99 Digiorno pizza from Target and watching a movie! This has become one of our favorite things to do! :) Saturday we got up and hung out and then Luke and I went to my nephew's baseball game! It was gorgeous outside! Luke wore his Auburn hat for the first time! Isn't he so cute? :) It was a little big but it did its purpose keeping the sun out of his eyes.
After the game we went down the street to Luke's friend Cameron's birthday party! This was Luke's first 'friend' party to be invited too! It was a lot of fun! Can't wait to do it again at his friend Bobby's party in a couple of weeks! (Maybe I will be better and take pictures!)
We went over to our neighbor's house after that and cookout! It was a long and fun day! Today we are going to Church, and then off to one of my best friends baby shower and then Life Group at my house at 5! Wow!
Hope everyone has had a great weekend so far like us! See you soon! :)
