My new bath toy!

I have seen this duck tub on some friends registries and on a friends blog so I decided to go ahead and buy one and see what Luke thought about it! Well he loved it! It is actually really nice b/c it helps my back and not having to lean over too far to wash him! That is one good looking stud there :)

This past weekend we headed down to the beach with Brian's family. We stayed in a condo in Destin. The weather was not great the whole time, but we still had a good time! Luke had a great time playing with Uncle Drew who we started calling Uncle Rico. He is hilarious and great with kids! He is going to be the best dad! We hung out at the beach and pool and just relaxed! Luke did great the whole time and took some great naps only b/c he got in bed with me! We got pay back though last night! Luke would NOT sleep in his crib and it was awful! He was in our room for 3 nights at the beach, and must have gotten use to us, so last night was awful! He ended up sleeping in his swing that he is almost hanging out of! We had to make sure he couldn't wiggle his body out :) So no more sleeping in our room :) He got spoiled! We had a great time though. We are headed back to the beach here soon! We love the beach more than anything and we love that Luke loves it so much! He was bound to like it since he has beach bums as his parents :)

Peanut Butter!

Well we had our first allergic reaction last night with welps and all!! Brian loves some peanut butter and eats it everyday before dinner and bed. Well last night he was eating eat, then went to change Luke in his pajamas. We love giving Luke zerberts on his neck and belly and he thinks it's hilarious! Well after Brian changed him and picked him up he was like um, Gina Luke is breaking out with something! I look at his neck and all underneath he is big time broken out in these huge welps that looked liked mosquitos attacked him! So what do I do? Call Amanda of course (my sister in law). If she had not answered the phone I probably would have freaked out :) Anyway we go ahead and ride down the street to their house ( LOVE that they live down the street from me!) and she looks at him and by this time he is breaking out on his belly. So I go ahead and call the doctor an they told me to give him benedryl just like Amanda said! It knocked him out and he was all better after 10 minutes!!

So to all of the moms out there, to anybody out there, and grandparents out there is a huge rule that you NEVER give a baby peanut butter before they are one years old! I have always known this, but if a baby gets this before they are a year it can be traumatic! We just hope Luke grows out of this reaction b/c I think both Brian and I can eat our weight in peanut butter! :)

We had a nice long weekend! We got up Saturday morning and went over to my mom's house to see my brother, SIL, and Fletch from Memphis for a minute. Then we headed back home and ate lunch and went for a dip in the pool! It was hot! Luke loves the pool so much and he is so fun to watch in there! Later that night we went to some friends house and had a cookout where Luke and his friend Reese had their picture made! Sunday we got up and went to church, came home and ate lunch then back out at the pool! Later that afternoon we headed to Anniston to my aunt's house and we hung out with family and Luke and Ella had their picture made. This is my cousin Lindsay's little girl who was born October 20th. She is so cute!
We had a great weekend and now looking forward to going to the beach!

This is my messy child. He really needs a bath :) I know my friend Volree put this on her blog awhile ago but just so you know, this boon/spoon thing is awesome! Anyway, I used it for the first time last night and it is great! It is clean and easy to clean and is great! So just wanted to advertise it again :)....

So this past weekend Brian and I headed off for a our first weekend away together since Luke! Our good friend JT was getting married in Fairhope so we headed down there with a bunch of our friends for the weekend! We stayed at The Grand Hotel and it was awesome! Apparently it is one of the most ranked Renaissance hotels to stay. Anyway, we rode down with our good friends Charles and Traci on Friday. It was so hard leaving Luke, but I knew he was in the best of hands with my parents Chief and Frannie. I knew they would have a great time with him! Anyway, we got there Friday and checked into the hotel and then Brian and I went down to the pool and had a daiquiri to start off the weekend. Friday night we went to the Rehearsal dinner and had a great meal! Needless to say I have been so good and exercising and trying to eat well, and this weekend was shot! I needed to run about 10 miles everyday just to get everything I ate off :)

Saturday morning we woke up and headed down and got some breakfast and went and sat on some swings that overlooked the Bay. It was beautiful! Then we rented some bikes for an hour and rode all over the place! We found all these huge houses past the resort that were beautiful! I would love to live there now, but only if I could live in one of those mansions overlooking the bay :) After the bike ride we rode into town and ate lunch and walked around to all the little shops. If you haven't been to Fairhope you need to go! It was beautiful! After lunch we headed back to the hotel and went to the pool and hung out before we got dressed and headed to the wedding!
It was a beautiful wedding and it was fun that all of our friends were there! The weather cooperated which was great! After the wedding we headed over to a restaurant called Wintzels and ate a late dinner with all our friends! It was a fun day!
Sunday morning we headed back home to my little man who I missed so much! It was so great to get away and be with just Brian, but it was nice coming home too :) We came home to the sweet boy below all smiles and all :)

Wow! I can't believe Luke is already 6 months old! This time has flown by! I have heard the next 6 months is even faster because they do so much more! Luke is so much fun. I love this baby so much I can hardly stand it! We went for his 6 month check up on Monday and the dude is just shy of 20 lbs! How has my back not gone out yet?! :) Stats:

weight: 19 lbs, 12 ozs (94%)
height: 28 inches long (88%)
head: 17 1/2 (88%)

Soooo...needless to say Luke is growing just fine! He is sitting up so well right now that the doctor was impressed how well he was doing. He doesn't roll over or anything b/c he hates being on his stomach and I never put him on his back b/c he likes to sit up and jump in his jumperoo, so nothing to worry about. This past weekend we left him with Chief and Frannie while me and Brian went away for a wedding (pictures to come soon). My parents had the best time as we did as well! I missed him though so much! He was so happy and sweet when we got back too so that made it even better! He is still going to bed at 7 and waking up at 6, except for the nights he throws in that he wants to wake up and not sleep! Doctor said it was b/c he was teething, so hopefully we will have a tooth here soon! Luke is back to liking his Nuk pacifiers! He likes these now b/c he can hold onto them and put them in and out of his mouth :) I guess he fills like a big boy when he can do that! I just bought him a sippy cup to start learning on! I put some water/juice in it yesterday and he took it right from my hand and put it in his mouth, soooo I think he already knows how to do that :) He got Brian's brains :)

Anyway, we are doing great besides last night when we all loaded up the car at 11 last night and drove to Walgreen's for baby orajel! It was a nightmare! Luke slept until 8:30 this morning b/c he didn't sleep all night...so right now, Mama is just a tiny bit tired! :)
