So off to Auburn we go! I have been dying to go to a game this year but just have not had a chance! Well we finally got tickets to the Louisiana-Monroe game and had an extra so we decided to bring Luke along! Let me just say that if this kid knew what a surprise toy was for being so good, he could have had anything in Toys R Us! He was great!!! Loved the band and watching all the people and just the noise! He sat in my lap and even waved his shaker just like everyone else in the stadium! (video to come here soon). Before the game we went straight to Tiger Walk! It's pretty sad that I went to Auburn and that was my second time to ever go to Tiger Walk! It was so much fun that I told Brian it should now be our family tradition! After Tiger walk we went and walked around Auburn. There are these little things in life that I have always wanted to do when I had a baby and I accomplished one today, and that was taking his picture in front of the Auburn University Sign! I just couldn't wait to bring my baby back to Auburn and take his picture everywhere! So it was a lot of fun! As soon as we left the stadium we packed up and headed to my favorite place in Auburn to eat, Amsterdams :) The day was now complete that I had a turkey wrap and now a sleeping baby in the back! Warrrrrrrrrr Eagle!!!!!!!!

Some More Luke....
I mean really?! Does this child not look so old right now! He has got to stop growing up so fast! I called Brian at work just a little while ago b/c I was laughing so hard at Luke! Luke had crawled over so fast to my curtains knowing what he was doing and laughing while he got to my curtains and started waving them! Of course I was yelling NO and laughing at the same time b/c it was killing me, so funny. What am I going to do?! :) He has been eating a ton lately! Still has 4 to 5 bottles a day and wants to eat snacks and anything all the time especially when we are eating! I made some little muffins today and he loved them! He loves cheese, marshmallows, bananas, puffs, MUM MUMS, yogurt melts, etc etc. He will eat anything so that is good! We just switched him to Costco brand formula b/c it is so much cheaper and he drinks it! Dadgum could have been saving that money all these other months :)
I think one of the funniest things this child does EVERY DAY is spitting his pacifier out when we make his bottle. It is so funny and never fails! I will be holding him and as soon as I put the nipple on his bottle, he spits his paci out of his mouth....too funny! He cracks me up. His hair is getting out of control and I love it and don't want to cut it :) I think it grows like crazy over night! :)
So anyway, we are having fun :)
Luke to the Zoo!
Today we headed to the zoo with Jack, Jenny, and Mrs. Rinker (Jenny's mom!). We actually stayed there for a while b/c the weather was actually bearable thank goodness!!!!!! So tired of this weather! We are going to be at the zoo constantly when this weather gets nicer and cooler :) Anyway, we rode the train for the first time today and it was a lot of fun. I think Luke liked it :) We saw the monkeys who were actually active today! We were surprised we saw a lot of animals! I guess it is cooler outside so they are out more! Luke petted the goats and thought it was pretty funny too :)
Zoo here we come this fall every week! :)

Luke - 10 months!!!
Happy 10 months to Luke! We couldn't decide which pictures to put up so these are our favorites! I love taking him outside on a blanket and taking his picture! Anyway, 2 more months and this baby is going to be 1!!! Holy cow! Let's just say Luke is into EVERYTHING these days :) We of course still think the crawling is cute, but definitely keeps us busy! I actually have a harder time keeping things out of his mouth! The child eats and puts everything in his little mouth! The other night he was in the den and was chewing on something and Brian pulled one of my small earrings out of his mouth! I mean really? I don't know where he got it from! He is in love with any kind of cord, and of course still my curtains. He has turned into this little boy just the past couple of weeks and it is so weird just to look at him and see how grown up he is! Back to the curtain pulling though. When I catch him pulling my curtains of course tell him NO I then have to pop his little hand and it is hilarious. I will pop his hand (don't worry all your grandparents it's not hard), and he will look up at me with his mouth open in a ouch face and like a how dare you just pop me! It is so funny that Brian and I have to clinch the sides of our mouths so we don't laugh! Luke is definitely all boy b/c he stops when he hears an airplane, obsessed with big trucks, remotes, phone, and loves to read! I love our little bedtime ritual of having a bath, bottle, then reading a book and going night night. I love that Luke loves to read and loves books. It is going to be fun when he gets older to go check books out at the library :) We are having lots of fun around the Harris household! I have already started to plan his 1st birthday! I told Brian this is one of the reasons I became a mom :) I LOVE birthdays and can't wait to always make those days special for my kid(s)!
ps....we are sitting here laughing so hard right now b/c Luke just tried to pull the curtain and did his ouch mouth thing! So funny...you just have to be here :)
pss....Luke just started walking with his toy car! He just went from one side of the den to the other! Yay Luke!

Memphis to meet Mia Marie......
Where do I start about this so called "adventure" we just took! Tuesday Amanda and I decided that we wanted to drive to Memphis to be there when Mia was born on Wednesday, so that is what we did! Let's just say that this was the longest trip I have ever taken! We were not even out of Birmingham yet, no wait, not even on the interstate yet and I told Amanda let's just turn around and go back home! Luke and Anna Frances were sitting next to each other and we would randomly look back and one or the other had their little hand either pinching each other or taking a toy away from each other. It was a nightmare. Then there was Izzy yelling "it's taking too long" and I mean what do you say??? I am sorry and move on! Sheesh...long story short we made it to Memphis and actually in pretty good timing! :) That night we all slept in the same room and let's just keep this short, I slept 2 hours....enough said. The next day yep you guessed it I was exhausted!!!! We headed over though to get some good ole Memphis BBQ which made the day a little better! Then we got scared Mia wouldn't be here in time before we had to leave. I will say this, there was NO WAY I was leaving dadgum Memphis, TN before I saw that baby! There was no way, even if I was flying back at home! No worries though, sweet Mia Marie Brocato was born on Wednesday, Sept 15, 2010! She was 7 lbs, 13 ozs I think? I didn't get to hold her b.c we needed to head back to the ham, but I can't wait to go back and kiss those chubby cheeks!!!!!!!
moral of this story: do not ever get in the car with a 10 mth old, 1 yr old, and 3 yr old. :)

Luke and Labor Day....
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! We sure did just relaxing and enjoying this awesome almost fall weather we have been getting! We did a lot of just hanging out this weekend! Saturday was incredible weather and I can't wait until it officially stays like that here in a couple of weeks! We had some friends over to watch the Auburn game on Saturday night! War Eagle by the way! :) We went to the pool but wow has the water gotten really chilly so don't know how much longer we will be going there! Today on Labor Day Luke got his first swing! I have been wanting to buy one of these for awhile but of course it has been so stinken hot outside that I don't even want to be out there! Luke loves it! He woke up from his nap and we brought him outside and he looked so confused b/c you could tell he was like where did this swing come from?? It was so cute! We will use the heck out of this thing! Can't beat walking out your back door to go swing!
Some little things Luke has been getting into these days since the wonderful crawling has begun :) we are having a great time constantly watching him try to take down my curtains (NOT)!!! I mean it's like I almost want to just let him pull them to get it out of his system but obviously that teaches nothing :) Brian bought a cord cover for the floor so now we are good with him trying to pull his favorite white cord :) Hmmmm.....he crawls over to his toy bin now and stands up and pulls everything out...it's actually kind of cute at this moment. You can always pick up toys at the end of the day!
Luke has been eating new things and more real food now! He is into this I want to feed myself bit which is good that he knows how but annoying as well b/c sometimes I want to feed him so we can do it faster! He is OBSESSED with bananas! It's actually fun giving him real food! He had green beans tonight and really liked them. Tomorrow he will have a sweet potato. It is nice not buying baby food right now :) He is getting to be a bigger boy everyday! We weighed him today and he is 24 lbs.! I know he will probably lose some of this again as he is crawling more, but boy is he heavy! :) I love my little chunky monkey. Oh and snacks???? HE IS OBSESSED! :) He LOVES his MUM MUMS, puffs, and yogurt melt aways :) I told Luke today we were going to cut back to a couple packs a day for the MUM MUM's :)
Ok that is enough for now! Hope you all have a great week!
