New Video Camera...

We bought a new video camera so we could have it for when Luke is born and of course to use the older he gets! Here is a little preview of Isabella :)

Anxiously Waiting......

Well needless to say the past few weeks have not been fun! I have experienced labor pains and they hurt people! :) That was 10 days ago and second go round at the hospital and second go round of the devil shots. Last night I started contracting again and couldn't go to sleep b.c I was hurting so bad, but they were not sharp or consistent enough to go to the doctor. After 8 hours of these contractions I woke Brian up about 4 this morning crying and telling him I couldn't take it any longer. Sooo we call the doctor up and of course they want to see us, so off we go to the hospital for the third time! I had JUST had an appt there yesterday as well so I knew I wasn't dialated then. Anyway the only good thing about going back there was I didn't have to get the awful shots b/c I am 37 weeks tomorrow! Thank goodness, but this has got to stop. They monitored me just to watch and of course I was discharged at 8 this morning. I came home went straight to sleep and poor Brian went off to work. I love Luke right now, but I am going to love him even more when he comes out of me! :) I think this is going to be the LONGEST 3 weeks of my entire life. I hope that he really comes early like the doctor said he would. He did say yesterday that if I got to 39 weeks we can talk induction! Bring it on!!!! :)
So I am hoping these contractions will stop even though it is slightly odd that these contractions are happening every 9 to 10 days on the dot! Anyone want to do a baby poll on me! :) If these contractions are consistent then it looks like we will make another trip next Thursday or Friday! I just wish my water would break and I could get this over with. So please please pray for me the next couple of weeks. I am still working right now and that is really hard, but I am hoping to quit next week if the doctor will excuse me!

So this is what has been going on in our lives the past couple of weeks. Looking forward to a fun weekend with Halloween coming up! :) My mom said if Luke comes on Halloween we can call him Luke the Spook :) I don't want him born on Halloween though!! I like November :) BUT you won't see me complaining if it does happen!

The Nursery is done!!

Well we just finished the nursery! We picked up his picture today that is over his bed! My sweet friend Aimee Hay painted this picture for Luke! Of course it is a monkey b/c Brian loves monkeys! I still have a little organizing to do, but I have lost motivation in doing some things. We have everything ready for Luke to come home with us! Not too much longer! If he really comes in 38 weeks like the doctor thinks he will, that means we have about 3 1/2 weeks left! Crazy! We are so ready to meet our son and so excited. Brian and I also decided a few weeks ago that I will be staying home for good after Luke is born! I can't tell you how excited and thankful I am that God has allowed us to make this decision. We have been praying for this for so long! It has always been my dream to be a stay at home wife and mother, and now my dream will come true in just a few weeks!
I have been preparing to pack and think of things we have to do before then. I don't really know how you pack for the hospital? I mean I have pajamas to wear and the toiletries that I know I can pack, but clothes to come home from the hospital? I can't do that! I am already limited to my wardrobe :) So I will just make a nice little list so that my mom can come back here and get what we need I guess.
I have felt pretty good the past couple of days. No more contractions lately so hopefully it stays that way. I am just hoping that all these sicknesses will stay away from me!
I am sure I won't have anything to write about between now and when Luke comes home, so I guess next time you read, I will be posting sweet pictures of our son! :)

34 weeks and contracting....

So today was not a fun day. I woke up this morning at 4 am with really bad cramps. I sat there and wondered if these were contractions or not! Anyway, kept having them pretty much all morning. I call the doctor at 1:30 and they tell me to come on in. I go in and they hook me up to a monitor. I am in fact having contractions! I knew I wasn't making it up! :) Anyway, I got a shot to make the contractions stop and waited an hour. If I had any more they would have to give me another shot....yes I got the second shot as well. Let me just tell you, those were the WORST shots I have ever had in my life!!!! Finally my contractions slowed down and I didn't have to get the third shot thank goodness! Anyway, I am home now, but I am still hurting. The doctor said Luke is really low and will probably come at 38 weeks but who knows! He could come this week! Anyway, I don't want him to come this soon b/c it would be early and I want a normal pregnancy. I know that God is in control and he is going to let me have Luke when that time is right. It is frustrating though. Anyway, not a very fun post but just giving you an update. :)

Snoogle...Momma's best friend

What you see above is my new best friend for the next 9 weeks of this wonderful pregnancy! :) I have not been sleeping at all and I have been miserable and so uncomfortable! I told Brian that money was no object (I was really tired when I said this) that I had to find something to help me sleep! Thanks to Volree she told me about this pillow! So off I went to Babies R Us after work and went straight over to buy it! It was kind of expensive, but seriously I did not care! So last night was the first night. I actually slept the entire night and only got up twice to go to the restroom instead of 6 to 8 times!!! That was a record. Yes I know that nobody cares how much I get up or did get up to use the restroom, but I think it was the pillow :) So all you preggers people out there, this is the pillow to get! :) I love my snoogle :)

30 Weeks and counting!!!!

Well I have hit the 30 week mark! I can't believe it is already here, but boy am I glad! :) I honestly don't know though how I am going to make it another 10 weeks! I am hoping Luke comes early! (not too early though). Sometimes I feel like I can't even walk and I am going to tip over! ha! Anyway, the nursery is done for the most part. I am waiting on my friend to finish painting the picture that goes over his bed, and then I will post pictures of the finished product! Brian and I are so excited and can't wait to meet our son. We had another ultrasound yesterday at my appointment. He is so much bigger now! Luke is moving around like crazy and keeping me up at night. I am interested to see if he is awake between 3 and 4:30 am when he is actually in this world! That will be funny.

Anyway, this is just a fun picture of my niece and nephew that I love :0) Fletcher and Isabella. Izzy LOVES Fletch so much...it is sweet :)

The Beach.....

If anyone knows me, you know that my favorite place to go in this world is the beach. This is our beach house in Sea Grove (well Brian's grandparents house). I love this place, and in the summer it is like a second home to us! This past weekend we went for my birthday, and as sad as it is to say, this was our last time to go this year. Normally we would go through October, but the drive is getting harder for me to ride that long. It is so weird to think when we go back there in the spring, we will have a child with us! I hope that Luke will be able to have lots of fun memories at this house before it is no more. I love Brian's grandparents Sue Mama and Joe Papa. I have become so close to them over the past few years. I forget sometimes that I haven't known them my whole life. I am excited that Luke will get to know them and see them when we go to the beach! Anyway, when beach season ends, we know it is that time of the year....AUBURN FOOTBALL!!!! :)
